PANAMA — The Class 4A District Tournament got off to a great start for the host Panama Lady Razorbacks, but ended rather abruptly for them on a cold, windy Thursday evening.
After the Lady ’Backs routed Sallisaw Central 15-2, they lost back-to-back games to Tushka by scores of 10-1 and 17-3 in a five-inning, mercy-rule contest to see their season end at 13-15.
Editor’s note: Since Panama was going to be the third team in Poteau’s three-game festival with Red Oak on Monday, Monday’s action will now just be Red Oak against Poteau at 5 p.m. for Senior Night.
