Bandit League football teams split games against Greenwood Blue

GREENWOOD, Ark. — The Poteau Bandit League football teams split their four games Saturday against the Greenwood Blue teams.
The fifth-grade team shut out the opposition 36-0, while the third-grade team edged Greenwood Blue 6-0 in double overtime.
Greenwood Blue took the sixth-grade game 33-12 and the fourth-grade contest 27-6.
The Poteau Bandit League teams will return to action next Saturday on the road against Van Buren (Ark.) Black. The third-grade game will lead off the afternoon and early evening of action at 3:30 p.m., followed by the fourth-grade contest, the fifth-grade game and the sixth-grade contest.
