Bandit League teams split games against Greenwood (Ark.) White on Saturday to end regular season; playoffs start this weekend

GREENWOOD, Ark. — The Poteau Bandit League football teams split their four games to end the regular season on Saturday.
The fifth-grade (33-0) and third-grade teams (18-0) posted wins, while the sixth-grade (22-14) and fourth-grade squads (24-0) lost their games.
The playoffs have arrived for the Poteau Bandit League teams. The sixth-grade team will face Greenwood Blue at 11:15 a.m. next Saturday in Greenwood. The fourth-grade squad will meet Van Buren (Ark.) White at 12:45 p.m. next Saturday in Van Buren. The third-grade team will play against Greenwood Gray at 10 a.m. next Saturday in Greenwood. The fifth-grade squad will have a bye into the second round of the playoffs at 12:30 p.m. Nov. 3 at Costner Stadium and will be the top seed in the fifth-grade playoff bracket.
