Bandit team's bake sale — and a happy Thanksgiving to you all

November 22, 2013

PRIZE OVEN — Linda Newman outbid outdoor columnist Jody Adams for this outdoor pizza oven at Tuesday night's Grace Cottage dinner and fundraiser at the Donald W. Reynolds Center. Photo by Linda Newman

My fifth-grade Bandit League football team had a bake sale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday outside Atwood's. I went for a while to help the ladies set up, and keep an eye on my players.
After we got everything going, my wife, Jenny, wanted me to go look at some Christmas lights inside the store. I grabbed a bag of popcorn and a few roasted peanuts on my way out — I mean, life is good.

The Grace Cottage dinner and fundraiser was Tuesday night at the Donald W. Reynolds Center, and it was a fun night. Linda Newman outbid me for the outdoor pizza oven that I was so desperately wanting. I can't wait to cook on that dude!
Save the world, recycle.
God bless our troops and veterans.
Have a great weekend, and have a happy Thanksgiving.
