The postseason is just around the corner, and all of the LeFlore County high school baseball and slow-pitch softball teams have now found out their postseason fates by the Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association.
The Poteau Pirates were sent to Stilwell for the Class 4A District Tournament.
In Class 3A baseball, Spiro will entertain Heavener for a district tournament.
In Class 2A baseball, three county schools â€” Pocola, Talihina and Wister â€” were named district hosts. The â€™Cats will face county foe Panama for one Class 2A District Tournament.
The Indians will welcome Sallisaw-Central to town, while The Golden Tigers will entertain Haworth.
Class A and B District Tournaments will begin next week. In Class A, Howe and Gans will visit Cameron.
In Class B, Leflore will be a host site for Panola and Kinta. Arkoma and Bokoshe will visit McCurtain, while Whitesboro and Eagletown will visit Battiest.
With the exception of the Poteau Lady Pirates, the slow-pitch softball district tournaments will begin next week. The Lady Pirates found out that they were sent to Muskogee for the Class 6A Regional Tournament along with the host Lady Roughers, Broken Bow and Muldrow.
In Class 5A, Heavener was named a host site, with Spiro and Wilburton providing the opposition.
Two LeFlore County schools were named district hosts in Class 4A â€” Panama and Talihina. The Lady Razorbacks will welcome archrival Pocola and Silo to town, while Wister and Colbert will come calling on the Lady Golden Tigers.
Howe and Canadian will visit Quinton for a Class 3A District Tournament.
In Class 2A, Cameron, Gans and Wetumka were sent to Keota, while Arkoma, Welch and Cave Springs were sent to Oaks.
In Class A, Whitesboro, along with Eagletown and Buffalo Valley, was sent to Battiest, Leflore and Panola will go to Red Oak and Bokoshe and Braggs were sent to McCurtain.
