A battle of unbeatens tonight when Pocola visits Quinton

September 16, 2011

Although it's not a playoff game, it has a feeling of one. The undefeated Pocola Indians (2-0) will visit the Quinton Savages (2-0) in the final non-district game for the Indians.
“I think this game, more than any, is a big game for us,” Pocola Coach Rick Lang said. “I think we were expected to win in Weeks 1 and 2. This is going to be like a mission-statement game if we can go down to Quinton and win. It's going to be a good test for us, both offensively and defensively. It's going to be a hostile environment, but if we can pull out a victory it will be big for us. It's going to be real important for our defense to show up.”
