Benjamin Daniel Adams, 56, of Arkoma passed away Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, in Fort Smith, Ark. Ben was born Feb. 3, 1956, in Poteau to Woodrow and Leontena (Minor) Adams. He worked in the oilfields. Ben was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, William Lee Adams and James Merl Adams; sisters, Karen Adams and Mary Hurlocker; niece Crystal Dance; and great-niece, Tajia Adams.
Survivors include his wife, Pat Adams of Arkoma; two sons and daughter-in-law, Daniel Adams of Eakly, Terry and Carmen Adams of Binger; daughter, Amanda Adams of Eakly; nine grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Rick and Linda Adams of Oklahoma City, Jerry and Denise Adams of Ada; three sisters, Annette Cox, Charon McCombs of Wilburton, Wanda Sue Hurlocker of Wister; 18 nieces and nephews, Abel Adams of California, Tina Karich of Arkoma; Rachel Bohannon of California, Tammy Jo Perry of Poteau, Scott Cox, Raymond Cox of Wilburton, Tim Cox of Shady Point, Anthony Cox of Wilburton, Garrett Cox of Alaska, J.J. Adams, Brandy Adams, and Willie Adams of Ada, Rick Adams of Yukon, Sherry Adams, Stephanie Walker of Oklahoma City, Karen McCombs, James Spain of Wilburton, Jimmy Hickman of Poteau; other relatives and loved ones.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16, in Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau, with the Rev. Harold Thompson officiating. 
Family visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Evans and Miller Funeral Home, Poteau.
