It took a while Monday night at Town Creek Park, but the Poteau Pirates baseball team finally was able to put away the pesky Panama Razorbacks by a score of 11-0 in a six-inning, run-rule victory.
The Hogs opened the day with a 9-5 come-from-behind victory over the Whitesboro Bulldogs.
Due to Tuesday’s rain, the Day 2 games were rained out.
The Pirates will meet the Cameron Yellowjackets at 6 p.m. Friday in Cameron in the winner’s-bracket quarterfinals.
Both the Razorbacks and Bulldogs will be in consolation action Friday, with Panama facing Arkoma at 2 p.m. in Poteau and Whitesboro meeting Pocola at noon in Cameron.
