Billie Joe Basinger Sr.

Billie Joe Basinger Sr., 83, of Mountain Home, Ark., died Sunday, March 18, at his home.
Funeral services will be private.
He was born Aug. 28, 1928, in Monroe, the son of Thomas and Flora May Loyd Basinger. He married Barbara Robertson on March 16, 1988, at Texarkana, Ark., and worked as a millwrite for The Pine Bluff Arsenal.  Billie was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. Billie lived in Mountain Home since 1989, moving from Pine Bluff. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and enjoyed fishing and working with his hands.
Billie is survived by two sons, Billie (Christie) Basinger Jr. of Flippin, Ark., and Larry Edwin (Stephanie) Basinger of South Lake, Texas; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one brother, Tommy Basinger of Michigan.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Robert L. and Lonnie Basinger, his parents, and his wife, Barbara Alice Basinger. 
Burial will be in East Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Texarkana.
