Billy Don Caldwell, 55, of Poteau died Wednesday, June 12, 2013, in Muskogee. Billy was born July 29, 1957, in Bokoshe to Raymond Earl and Velma Mae (Fields) Caldwell. He worked for LeFlore County District 1. Billy was a veteran of the U.S. Army Reserves, National Guard and Naval Reserves. Billy was preceded in death by his father and best friend, Larry Hugle; and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Eugena and William Potter.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Mary of the home; son, Earl Lee Caldwell of Poteau; daughter, April Mae Caldwell of the home; mother, Velma Mae of Bokoshe; two brothers, Bruce Caldwell of Bokoshe, Robert Caldwell of Rogers, Ark.; two half-brothers and one half-sister; three sisters, Hazel Gillion of Bokoshe, Liz Lindenau of Panama, Marilyn Pierson of Bokoshe; special friends, Kathy Collins of Howe, Ken Whitehead of Cameron, Jerry Campbell of Poteau, Jess Henry of Pocola, Royce Pinkston of Poteau and Jimmy Roberts of Spiro.; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews; other loved ones and friends.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, June 17, at Calvary Assembly of God in Poteau with the Rev. Leroy Orr officiating. Burial will be in Greenhill Cemetery, Cameron. Pallbearers will be Bruce Caldwell, Earl Caldwell, Kyle Pierson, Billy E. Caldwell, Greg Gillion, Josh Gillion, Ryan Ralls, Josh Caldwell, Keith Pierson and Michael Autry. Honorary pallbearers will be Dale Fraze, Jimmy Roberts, Ken Whitehead, Jess Henry, Royce Pinkston and Jerry Campbell.Â
The family will visit with relatives and friends from 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Evans and Miller Funeral Home, Poteau.
