Billy Mack Ramer

Billy Mack Ramer, 79, of Poteau died
Sunday, Sept. 18, 2011, in Talihina. Bill
was born July 31, 1932, in Red Oak to
Alvin and Ila Beatrice (McAlester) Ramer.
He was retired from Wister Schools. Bill
was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served
in the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in
death by his parents and two brothers,
Norval Ramer and Johnny McGowen. Bill loved horses
and loved to trail ride.
Survivors include a daughter, Karen Barragan of Santa
Anna, Calif.; two grandsons; three sisters and brothers-inlaw,
Gail Morrison of Poteau, Sue and Ronnie Burke of
Broken Bow, Phyllis and Rick Sanders of Howe; brother
and sister-in-law, Herman and Linda McGowen of
Summerfield; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives
and loved ones; many beloved friends.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21, at
Summerfield Baptist Church, Summerfield, with The Rev.
Charles Caughern officiating. Burial will follow in
Fanshawe Cemetery, Fanshawe.
