Billy Ray Shadwick

Early Friday morning, May 25, 2012, Billy Ray Shadwick left our Earth to be in a better place; 21 days after May 4, when he had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. 
Billy was 45. He was born Oct. 12, 1966, in Idabel to Bill and Shirley Shadwick. He graduated from Heavener High School in 1984 and attended CASC.
Billy married Stephanie on Nov. 27, 1998, giving them almost 15 incredible years together with the kids — Tasha and Garret Janway.
Billy’s prior employment was a Poker Room Manager at Choctaw Casino with his current employment being a Manager at Ron’s Discount Lumber.
He was an avid Poker Tournament Player, playing World Poker Tournaments and World Series of Poker many times.  He also loved riding his mule.
Billy was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Shadwick.
Family members are members of First United Methodist Church but the funeral will be held at First Baptist Church at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 29. Burial will be in Hodgen Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Billy Ray Shadwick at Central National Bank.
 He is survived by his wife, Stephanie; daughter, Tasha Janway of the home; son, Garret Janway of the home; father, Bill Shadwick of Heavener; three brothers, Bradley Hildebrant and wife, Jackie, of Burlington, Iowa, Ron Hildebrant of Howe, and Mitchell Shadwick and wife, Tammy, of Heavener; sister, Donna Kay Dehart and husband, Kenny, of Heavener; numerous other family members and friends
Arrangements are under the direction of Dowden Funeral Home Heavener.
