The crisis in Darfur, which has left at least 200,000 dead by UN count, will be the focus of high-level talks on Monday in Paris. The meeting, proposed by French President Nicolas Sarkozy, aims to bring together the countries involved in the conflict in the western Sudanese region as well as China to discuss a political solution and humanitarian and security issues. US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice is to fly in for the conference, along with envoys from Britain, China, Russia, Japan and other nations. A report looking ahead to the conference. |

E-waste from America, Japan and European Unions is pouring into China through underground channels. In south China's Guiyu, workers are poisoned by toxic fume chemicals when they melt e-waste and environment is severely damaged. Underground channel of smuggling e-waste into the country is making it impossible for the government to fight back. |
