v3654, LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM - Wednesday July 2 2008. Google Street View comes to London. This Google Street View vehicle was spotted on the streets of London. The controversial "Street View" programme by Google allows a car is equipped with cameras to photograph street-scapes which Google Maps users can view when they want a closer look at an area they have searched for. This car is fitted with all sorts of equipment including 360 degree cameras which take a freeze frame of time for Google users across the world to see. Concerns have been expressed about privacy issues. In other cities there have been incidents of men leaving strip clubs, protesters at abortion clinics, sunbathers in bikinis and other situations which privacy advocates have objected agains.
