Bobbie Lee Turner Russell, 84, of Poteau died Friday, Sept. 5, 2012 in Poteau.
Bobbie was born March 2, 1928, in Fine Springs, Ark., to Ray and Ida Mae (Dennis) Blount. She was a telephone operator for Alltel.  Bobbie was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church, Poteau.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Ida Mae Turner, in 1958; granddaughter, Lisa Turner in 1992; her parents; and her brother, Arvel Joe Chitwood. She loved bowling. She loved to run around with her childhood school friends, Wilma Lee, Tootie Alfred, Grace Boggains, Mary Joe Logan and Doris Robertson.
 Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Glen Jr. and Maureen Turner of Owasso; five grandchildren; other relatives and loved ones; many friends and her church family.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept 9, at First Free Will Baptist Church in Poteau with the Revs. Jim Cook and Barry Reel officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Poteau.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Bryan Newport and Brent Newport, and friends, Garry Skinner, Floyd Morris, Jonathan Clark and Barry Reel.
