Bobby Gene Barnes, 78, of Okmulgee, formerly of Poteau died Monday, Dec. 30, 2013, in Okmulgee. Bobby was born Oct. 18, 1935, in Anna, Texas, to Ray and Mary (Henry) Barnes. He was a truck driver. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
Survivors include his wife Doris of the home; four sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Patty Barnes of Okmulgee, Jack and Virginia Barnes of Fort. Smith, Ark., John Barnes and James Barnes of Arizona; numerous grand and great-grandchildren; brother, David Barnes of Idaho; other relatives and loved ones; many beloved friends.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 6, at Coaldale Cemetery, Coaldale. Pallbearers will be Eugene, Robert and Patrick Barnes, Dustin Howard. Honorary pallbearers will be sons, Steve, Jack, John and James.  
Evans and Miller Funeral Home, Poteau, is handling arrangements.
