Bokoshe football team seeks first win of season Friday night at Webbers Falls

September 26, 2013

In the preseason, Bokoshe football coach Bryan Murray said that Webbers Falls was one of the better teams not only in District C-4 but in Class C period. His team will get a chance to see how it fares when the two teams meet in a district contest at 7:30 p.m. Friday in Webbers Falls.
“To me, they look a lot like Arkoma offensively,” said Murray, whose Tigers (0-3 overall, 0-2 in District C-4 play) lost 74-20 to Sasakwa in last week's home opener. “They like to spread it out and sling the ball around. They use the screen passes and hooks as their running plays. I think they're better defensively, but they're going to be a complete opposite than what we saw last week. Sasakwa was a smashmouth and ran the ball every play. This week, we're going to see the spread. I really think we're going to be hard pressed to see a better team than we did last week in Sasakwa.”
