Bonnie Marie King

Bonnie Marie King, 87, of Poteau died Friday, Jan. 20, 2012, in Poteau. Bonnie was born in Poteau on Dec. 22, 1924, to Claude and Nellie A. (Pendergrass) Johnson. She was preceded in death by her father, Claude Johnson; mother, Nellie Johnson and stepfather, Claude Oliver; husband, Henry “J.R.” King; and best friend, Mary Tiffee. 
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Nancy King of  Poteau; granddaughters, Jamie Rowland, Emilee King and Natalee King all of Poteau; and two great-grandsons; Jaxon King and Gavin Rowland.
Services will be 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 23, at Evans Chapel of Memories in Poteau with Rev. Jim Cook officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Pallbearers will be John Paul Wilson, Connor Gilstrap, Jack Colwell, Nate Warren, James Mathis and Bruce Thompson. 
The family will be at the funeral home from 4-6 p.m. Sunday to visit with relatives and friends.
