Bonnie Sue Green, 98, of Panama died
Friday, May 25, 2012, in Pocola. Bonnie
was born June 8, 1913, in Calhoun to
Robert Lee and Mattie (Irvin) Cheely. She
was a housewife. Bonnie was preceded in
death by her parents; husband, Norman
Green (former mayor of Panama) on March
20, 1984; sisters, Pearlie Brock and Myrtle
Jordan; brother and sister-in-law, James
Dewey and Lucille Cheely.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Vivian
and Robert Stankewitz of Panama, Verna Lee and Robert
Morgan of Chino, Calif.; eight grandchildren, Vickie
Ignaut of Rocklin, Calif., Susan Snapp of Chino, Calif.,
Randy Morgan of Delanto, Calif., Virginia Porter of
Upland, Calif., Landis and Carol Stankewitz of Panama,
Tanya Summer of Greenwood, Ark, Anthony Stankewitz
of Panama, Shay and Jerry Stankewitz of Poteau; 17 greatgrandchildren;
sister, Ruby Baxter of Shady Point; nephews,
Gary Don Baxter of Monroe, Warner Lee Baxter of
Poteau; niece, Euphia Gaye Beck of Shady Point; other
relatives and loved ones.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 30, at
Panama Assembly of God Church with Rev. Brian Smith
officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Poteau.
Pallbearers will be Mike Williamson, Lane Heatherington,
Richard Klahn, Wiley Williamson, Steve Beck and Tex
Williamson.
