Calvin Phillip Hopcraft

Calvin Phillip Hopcraft, 88, of Poteau died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2103, in Fort Smith, Ark. Calvin was born Nov. 1, 1924, in Mansfield, Mass., to Walter and Gertrude (Warner) Hopcraft. He was a petroleum engineer. Calvin was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Hopcraft; son, Barton Hopcraft; five brothers and three sisters. Calvin was very involved with the “‘sack-lunch”’ program at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Fort Smith. The program was very near and dear to his heart.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Calvin II and Cory Hopcraft of Jenks; daughter, Lori Lea Hopcraft of Poteau; four grandchildren, Taylor Katherine, Erin Bryce, Colin and Kyle; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and loved ones.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Fort Smith. 
Memorials may be made to the Episcopal Church, St. John’s Sack Lunch Program, 215 N. Sixth St., Fort Smith, AR 72901.
Evans and Miller Funeral Home, Poteau, is handling arrangements.
