RED OAK — The Cameron Yellowjackets found some redemption Thursday afternoon at the Eagle Classic at Eagle Field.
After being run ruled 12-0 in three innings by Oktaha in Wednesday afternoon's opener, the Yellowjackets bounced back with a run-rule victory of their own with a 12-1, four-inning, run-rule win over the Smithville Braves Thursday afternoon.
But the news was not as good for another LeFlore County team as the Howe Lions were run ruled by the host Red Oak Eagles 12-0 in three innings Wednesday afternoon.
The ’Jackets (4-3), who snapped their three-game losing streak, will play at 11 a.m. Saturday in the loser's-bracket semifinals with another win advancing them to the 1 p.m. Saturday consolation title game.
The Lions (1-2) will play in the other consolation semifinal game at 2 p.m. today, where a win will put them into the consolation championship contest.
