Cameron boys reach semifinals at Red Oak Eagle Classic; Wister Wildcats, Howe Lions playing for consolation title this morning

RED OAK — The Cameron Yellowjackets could be bringing home a championship at day's end.
The ’Jackets handled the Howe Lions 13-0 in three innings in the opening round of the Red Oak Eagle Classic on Thursday afternoon.
The ’Jackets (1-0) faced the Stuart Hornets Friday afternoon for the right to get to this afternoon's 3 p.m. title game to face the winner of Friday night's Red Oak-Crowder game. The losers will play for third place at 12:30 this afternoon.
The Demons edged the Wister Wildcats 5-4, while the host Eagles soared over the Whitesboro Bulldogs 16-0.
On Friday, the ‘Cats beat the ’Dogs 13-1 in one consolation semifinal, while the Lions got past the Buffalo Valley Buffaloes 5-3.
Wister and Howe will play at 10 this morning for the consolation championship. Whitesboro's stay in the tournament came to an end.
