Cameron, Howe, Arkoma boys make Green Valley Conference Tournament semifinals

BOKOSHE — The Cameron Yellowjackets, the Howe Lions and the Arkoma Mustangs all posted victories in opening-round action of the 2013 Green Valley Conference Tournament on Wednesday at Bokoshe Tigers Fieldhouse.
Cameron edged Panama 56-53, Arkoma rallied to down Wister 50-42 and Howe handled host Bokoshe 93-28. Keota routed McCurtain 64-30 in the other opening-round game.
Boys action was slated for Thursday, while the girls teams return to action Friday. On the girls' side, Arkoma and host Bokoshe will meet in one championship semifinal at 7 p.m., followed by the other semifinal between Howe and Panama at 8:30 p.m. The winners will play for the title at 7 p.m. Saturday at Panama, while the losers will play for third place at 2 p.m. Saturday in Panama.
On the girls consolation side, Wister will face McCurtain at 4 p.m. Friday, while Cameron will meet Keota at 5:30 p.m. The winners will play for the consolation championship at 11 a.m. Saturday in Panama.
