Cameron man charged with sexual assault of minor student

Johnny Carter, 71, of Cameron, is free on bail following the issuance of a warrant for his arrest for fourth-degree sexual assault.

A Cameron man has been charged with sex crimes involving a minor following an anonymous tip.
According to jail records, Johnny Carter, 71, of Cameron, was processed into the Sebastian County Detention Center on the charge of fourth-degree sexual assault.
A warrant was issued by the Fort Smith Police Department following allegations Carter had engaged in sexual acts with a 15-year-old student from Union Christian Academy.
Carter is currently free on $10,000 bail waiting for his next court date which is yet to be set.
