Cameron Special Olympics Team wins hoop event in Catoosa

JUMPING ’JACKETS — The Cameron Special Olympics Basketball Team won the Area Basketball Games Saturday in Catoosa. The team will compete in the State Basketball Games Jan. 14, 2012, in Norman. CATOOSA — The Cameron Special Olympics Basketball Team won the Area Basketball Games event on Saturday by beating Jenks twice.
The coaches were very proud of the team, and the athletes played with a lot of heart — and left all their fans happy.
The Yellowjackets will compete in the State Basketball Games Jan. 14, 2012, in Norman with the hopes of bringing home the first-ever gold medal to LeFlore County.
The day before, Jan. 13, 2012, the ’Jackets will compete in the State Singles Bowling Competition, also in Norman.
