Carl Albert baseball team drops road game to Connors State; Vikings home this afternoon for final time this season in DH against Redlands

May 2, 2013

WARNER — The adage that says, “Close only counts in horseshoes,” was so true for the Carl Albert State College baseball team in Tuesday night's road game against Connors State College.
The Vikings cut the deficit to a single run in the eighth inning of the nine-inning contest, only to see the Cowboys score three runs in the eighth to prevail 10-7.
The Vikings will play their final home doubleheader this season at 1 this afternoon at Ival Goodman Field against Redlands Community College before the two play another twinbill at 1 p.m. Saturday in El Reno.
