The Eastern Oklahoma State College Mountaineers baseball team took the first of its rivalry games from the Carl Albert State College Vikings on Saturday afternoon at Ival Goodman Field.
A three-run eighth inning broke a 4-all tie to enable the Mountaineers to beat the Vikings 8-5.
The Vikings will return to action this afternoon in a road doubleheader against Arkansas Baptist. Action in Little Rock is slated to begin at 2 p.m. The two teams split a twinbill Friday afternoon at Ival Goodman Field, with the Vikings winning the opener 9-0 but losing the nightcap 8-1.
