Carl Albert baseball team opens season with sweep

CLARKSVILLE, Ark. — The 2013 season got off on the right foot for the Carl Albert State College Vikings baseball team on Wednesday afternoon. The Vikings swept the University of the Ozarks junior varsity by scores of 15-0 and 5-0 to open the season 2-0.
The Vikings will return to action with back-to-back road doubleheaders on Monday and Tuesday. Monday’s twinbill against the Bacone College JV will begin at noon in Muskogee, while Tuesday’s doubleheader against Coffeyville, Kan., will start at 1 p.m. in Coffeyville.
