The Carl Albert State College baseball team started its busy stretch of games by splitting a four-game series over the weekend against Northern Oklahoma College-Tonkawa. The two teams split Sunday's doubleheader in Tonkawa, with the Vikings taking the nightcap 8-6 after losing the opener 7-1.
On Saturday at Ival Goodman Field, the two split a pair in the same fashion. Carl Albert won the second game 8-3 after losing the first contest 3-0 in eight innings.
The Vikings, who entertained Connors State Monday afternoon in a single nine-inning game, had their road game tonight against archrival Eastern Oklahoma State College canceled due to threatening weather. Tonight's game has been rescheduled for 6:30 p.m. Monday.
