April 11, 2013

It has been a busy few days for the Carl Albert State College baseball team, which played six games in four days.
On Tuesday in Arkadelphia, Ark., the Vikings split a doubleheader against Arkansas Baptist, winning the nightcap 16-2 after losing the opener 7-6.
Over the weekend, the Vikings opened Oklahoma Collegiate Athletic Conference play in a four-game, two-day road series against Western Oklahoma State College, which is ranked second in the nation, in Altus. On Sunday, the Vikings split with the Mountaineers, winning Game 1 11-8 before losing Game 2 12-2. The Pioneers took both games on Saturday, winning 2-0 and 5-3.
The Vikings will return to action at 1:30 p.m. Friday in a home conference doubleheader against Murray State College at Ival Goodman Field. The games were to have been played this afternoon, but were postponed due to wet fields.
