Carl Albert men upset 10th-ranked Coffeyville, but Lady Vikings fall

November 21, 2012

Behind 27 points from Adrion Webber and strong play on both ends of the floor, the Carl Albert State College Vikings shocked the 10th-ranked Coffeyville (Kan.) Community College in a 72-70 upset Tuesday night in Coffeyville.
However, the news was not as good for the Carl Albert Lady Vikings. Despite getting a career-high 15 points from Ericka Edwards, the Lady Vikings lost 61-52 loss to Coffeyville in the first game Tuesday night.
Both teams will be in Thanksgiving holiday events Friday and Saturday.
The Vikings will be at the Thanksgiving Classic in Plano, Texas, where they will meet host Collin County at 6 p.m. Friday followed by a 4 p.m. contest on Saturday against South Plains, Texas.
The Lady Vikings will be in the Marcus Harvey Invitational in Kansas City, Mo. They will play Penn Valley, Mo., at noon Friday, then will face Lewis and Clark, Ill., at 2 p.m. Saturday.
