Carl Albert softball team sweeps road pair from Connors State; Lady Vikings play this weekend in Carthage (Mo.) Festival

WARNER — The Carl Albert Lady Vikings softball team picked up a pair of road wins Thursday afternoon against the Connors State College Cowgirls.
The Lady Vikings got a run-ruled 15-6 victory in the opener, then broke a 4-all tie in the seventh inning for a 5-4 win.
The Lady Vikings will play Saturday and Sunday in the Carthage (Mo.) Festival at Crowder College. They will play three times Saturday — facing Kirkwood, Iowa, at 9 a.m.; Three Rivers, Mo, at 1 p.m. and Maplewood, Mo. at 5 p.m. On Sunday, they will face Southeastern, Iowa, at 11 a.m. and Butler Community College of El Dorado, Kan., at 1 p.m.
