Carl Albert women lasso Cowgirls, while Vikings lose to Cowboys
WARNER — Behind a strong effort on the defensive end and 18 points from D. Brown and 16 points from Ericka Edwards, the Carl Albert State College Lady Vikings rolled past the Connors State College Cowgirls 69-55 on Thursday night.A late run in the second half proved to be the difference for the 22nd-ranked Connors State Cowboys in their 64-54 win over the Vikings in the second game on Thursday night.The CASC teams will have a pair of games in the next three days. First up will be a pair of home games against Western Oklahoma State College Saturday at Mick Thompson Fieldhouse. The women’s game will begin at 4 p.m., followed by the men’s contest at 6 p.m.Then, the CASC teams will entertain Murray State College on Monday night at Mick Thompson Fieldhouse.
