CASC baseball team takes three of four from Kirkwood, Iowa

The homestand against Iowa teams got off on the right foot for the Carl Albert State College baseball team three of four games from Kirkwood, Iowa, Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons at Ival Goodman Field.
On Wednesday, the Vikings took the opener 5-2, but lost the nightcap 4-1.
Carl Albert outlasted Kirkwood 1-0 in 13 innings in the opener of Tuesday's twinbill, then took the nightcap 3-2.
The Vikings will welcome Southwestern, Iowa, for a three-day, five-game series beginning Saturday at Ival Goodman Field. There will be a pair of 12:30 p.m. doubleheaders on Saturday and Sunday, followed by a single, nine-inning game at noon Monday.
