It was a happy homecoming for the Carl Albert State College basketball teams as they opened their seasons Thursday night at Mick Thompson Fieldhouse.
Behind Adrion Webber's 22 points and LaShawn Gallion's 20 points, the Vikings got a 92-78 come-from-behind victory over the North Arkansas Pioneers.
The came on the heels of the Lady Vikings' 102-27 rout of the St. Gregory's University junior varsity, thanks to 14 points off of the bench by former Heavener Lady Wolf Skylar Cooper.
The Vikings will return to action this weekend in the Oklahoma-Texas Shootout in Weatherford. They play Howard, Texas, at 10 this morning, followed by an 11 a.m. contest Sunday against Trinity Valley, Texas.
The Lady Vikings will be off until next weekend when they will play in the Mineral Area Classic in Park Hills, Mo. They will play host Mineral Area College at 7 p.m. Friday, followed the next day by a 2 p.m. contest on Nov. 10 against Vincennes University.
