CASC honors Darali Mixon with Distinguished Alumni Association Award

November 21, 2012

Darali Mixon has been named the recipient of the Carl Albert State College Distinguished Alumni Association Award. “Carl Albert State College is dear to me,” stated Mixon. “My college experience there was incredible and made a lasting impact on my life.  I helped pioneer the very first Horizon Show Choir under the direction of Michael Jones. Those of us in the choir were a small, close-knit group and we performed extensively. In addition, I was first runner up in the Miss CASC pageant, worked as a peer counselor for Upward Bound, and received the President’s Award at graduation. I realized the value of education, and after graduating from CASC in 1984 I went on to graduate magna cum laude from NSU.”
