CASC softball team splits with 15th-ranked Western

April 20, 2012

ALTUS — It may have seemed like a long, six-hour bus trip going out for Wednesday afternoon's make-up road doubleheader against 15th-ranked Western Oklahoma State College for the Carl Albert State College Lady Vikings. However, the trip home probably didn't seem that way.
The Lady Vikings, who were run ruled 13-2 in six innings in the opener, knocked off the nationally-ranked Lady Pioneers 8-7 in nine innings in the nightcap.
After traveling to meet archrival Eastern Oklahoma State College Thursday afternoon in Wilburton, Carl Albert will return home for a 2 p.m. Saturday twinbill against Connors State College.
