CASC softball team suffers road losses to Rose State; this afternoon's home doubleheader vs. Connors State canceled (NEWLY UPDATED)

MIDWEST CITY — The Carl Albert State College softball team suffered a pair of road losses Tuesday afternoon against Rose State College. The Lady Vikings lost 1-0 in the opener, then dropped the nightcap 9-6.
The Lady Vikings were to have returned to action at 2 this afternoon in a home doubleheader against Connors State College. However, due to threatening weather conditions, the game has been canceled with no make-up date set at this time. The Lady Vikings will return to action in back-to-back doubleheaders against Western Oklahoma State College this weekend at Rose State College in Midwest City. Saturday's twinbill will begin at 2 p.m., with Sunday's to start at noon.
Editor's note: Today's Carl Albert State College home baseball doubleheader against defending national champion Murray State College at Ival Goodman Field was canceled due to threatening weather conditions. The two teams will meet at 1 p.m. Friday at the MSC Baseball Field in Tishomingo, then play two games at 1 p.m. Saturday at Ival Goodman Field.
