Jamal Allston hit a basket as the buzzer sounded giving the Carl Albert State College Vikings a thrilling 57-55 win over the Connors State College Cowboys in the second game of Thursday night's Oklahoma Collegiate Athletic Conference doubleheader at Mick Thompson Fieldhouse for their first conference victory.
Despite getting 18 points each from Shelby Trozzi and Whitney Barnes, it wasn't enough for the Lady Vikings as their late rally came up short in their 68-64 loss to the Cowgirls.
The CASC teams will return to action Monday night as they travel to Beames Fieldhouse at Murray State College in Tishomingo to face the Lady Aggies and Aggies. The women's contest will begin at 6 p.m., followed by the men's game at 8 p.m.
