Champions crowned in Poteau Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament

Four two-golfer teams were parts of two championships at the Poteau Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament, which took place June 24 at Choctaw Country Club.
Dr. Bill Willis and Mike Huggins, along with Paul Quirk and Johnny Baker were champions in first flight. Dr. Douglas Duke and Graham Dunn along with Ron and Don Killion were second. The duos of Craig Hall-Clark Summers and SueAnn Loggains-Ryan Adams were third.
In second flight, Mark Bovos and Poteau mayor Jeff Shockley along with Jeff Rogers and Perry Reed were first. Homer Oglesby-Matt Blake and Jose Chavez-Keith Marquez were runners-up, while Todd Gunnels-Todd Gunnels Jr. and Parker Killion-Dr. Ted Kondos were third.
Aaron Emberton, Jennifer Casey, Terry Robbins, Kyle Wilson, Sandy Blake and Chris Ward were longest drive winners, while Carl Albert State College women's basketball coach Jeff Tadtman and Brett Casey were closest to the pin winners.
