Charley Potter Sr., 71, of Poteau died Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013, in Poteau. He was born Sept. 16, 1941, at Cameron to W.A. “Bill” and Stellie “Mae” (Smith) Potter. He was a self-employed carpenter and owner of Charley’s Construction.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters.
Charley is survived by his wife of 28 years, Esther (Moody) Potter of the home; children, Charley Potter Jr. and wife Brandy of Hackett, Ark., Shirri VanVranken of Howe, Shelly and husband Jerry Athey of Stigler, LeAnn and husband Monty Medlock of Bonanza, Ark., Angie and husband John Adams of Poteau, Jackie and husband Will “Boogie” Lindsey of Liberty, Norman and wife Michelle Noah of Williston, N.D., Dean Noah of Poteau, Bill and wife Laura Holson of Heavener; a brother, Olen Potter of McAlester; 22 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members. 
Pallbearers will be Will “Boogie” Lindsey, grandsons Dylan Potter, Jody Lindsey, Aaron Lindsey, Paul Perry and Dustin “Duck” Perry. Honorary pallbearers will be John Adams and Dale McAlester.
Service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 4, at Grace Manor Memorial Chapel, Poteau, with Bro. Harold Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Greenhill Cemetery, Cameron, under the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home of Poteau.
