Christmas vacation is here! Costa Rica, here we come

December 15, 2011

MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM THE MIDGLEYS — Outdoor Columnist George Midgley, right, along with, clockwise from bottom, wife, Paula, stepchildren Candeeda, Clint and Cash, and son, Koby, send you all wishes for a Merry Christmas. Photo Submitted by Paula Midgley

Both of my elementary boys’ teams won their tournaments at Monroe last week. I want to give a shout out to Monroe Coach Casey Hemphill. He did a great job running the tournament and coaching all those kids. Casey played basketball at Poteau back when Clint and Candeeda were in school, and he was one heck of a good player. Keep up the good work, Casey!

The deer hunting will have to wait a few days though because Paula and I will leaving for Costa Rica on Friday. Since it’s right down there by the equator and South America, the weather should be a little better there than it is here — Ha! Ha! Ha! We will think about all of you LeFlore County folks while we are on the beach.
Since I am going to be out of the country, I won't be writing a column next week, so I want to wish everyone a safe and Merry Christmas now!
Have a great week!
