Community support brings new light on events at Shady Point School

January 23, 2013

A new LED sign for school event notifications has been installed in Shady Point.

Shady Point Schools have recently installed a new LED sign for public notification of school events.
The 16 foot LED sign is located at the intersection of Wheelus Street and U.S. Highway 59/271.
Shady Point Superintendent Bruce Gillham said the sign was purchased and installed at no cost to the district due to corporate sponsors and community donations.
The sign will be used for notifications of school event and activities along with any closings.
