Courthouse security tightened during Haskin trial

January 8, 2013

Access will be restricted to one entrance for visitors during a high profile jury trial beginning Wednesday morning.

With the beginning of a high profile trial Wednesday morning, a temporary security measure will be implemented resulting in the closure of all entrances to the LeFlore County Courthouse except one.
The south entrance, located on Beard Street, will be open to the public during business hours and is handicap accessible. Upon entry to the building visitors will be required to pass through a metal detector.
The LeFlore County Sheriff's Office is asking that all bags, long coats and pocket knives be left at home or in a car.
The security measures will be left in place during the duration of the trial.
