Coye B. McCage Sr.

Coye B. McCage Sr. was born Aug. 21, 1930, to Bertha and Ollie McCage in Spiro. He died June 3, 2014 at 83 years, 10 months of age. He was a veteran of the Korean War and retired from OK Feeds in Fort Smith in 1992 after 23 years. Coye was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Wilma Battles of Calhoun, Deloris Ritter of Bokoshe, Hazel Skelton of Stoney Point; one great-grandchild, Kaylee Dawn Taylor of Dardenelle, Ark.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Lucille of Panama; sons, Coye Jr. and wife Leanie of Cameron, Harlan McCage, Russell McCage and wife Brenda all of Panama, Tim McCage and wife Virginia of Spiro, James David McCage and wife, Danielle of Coweta; daughters, Dian Ketter and husband Charles, Brenda Metcalf and husband Mike all of Charleston, Ark., Sandy Taylor and husband Richard of Dardenelle, Martie Southerland and husband Jerry of Pocola; 29 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; four sisters, Helen Parker of Fort Smith, Wanda Brown of Hot Springs, Ark., Linda Miesner of Panama, Jackie Dampier and husband Jimmy of Bloomer, Ark., other loved ones and friends.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 7, at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau, with the Rev. Jim Cook officiating. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery, Spiro. Pallbearers will be PeeWee Ketter, Lance Ketter, Guss McCage, Casey McCage, Casey Metcalf, George Dominguez. Honorary pallbearers will be Gary Moore, Ben Carr, Mike Metcalf, Charlie Ketter, Richard Taylor, Jerry Southerland, Brandon Boss, Logan Southerland, Tristen Horn, Jessie Horn, Jake White, Louis Mitchell, Joe Dotson, Aaron Plummer, Shandon Blakely Dyer.
Family visitation will be form 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
