The Carl Albert State College Joe E. White Library staff hosted the CASC Duck Calling Contest.Â Four employees and four students participated in the competition.Â
A highlight of the event was that Stephen Billy, A CASC Alumnus and Flextone Pro staff member, was the judge and helped determine the winners.Â Billyâ€™s expertise includes that he was the winner of the 2002 Duck Commander Duck Calling Contest.
Winners of the Carl Albert contest include:
First place â€” Dustin Tobey of Hartford, Business Administration major.
Second place â€” Jordan Mings of Whitesboro, enrolled in Physical Therapist Assistant Program.
Third place â€” Bill Carroll, director of Physical Therapist Assistant Education Program.Â
Terri Carroll, director of CASC Libraries, stated, â€śWe host a variety of events throughout the year to let students and the community know that the library is about a lot of different things. We definitely have something to offer everyone. The duck calling display in the library and the calling contest brought a group of students into the library that may not normally visit the library.â€ťÂ
â€śWe were pleased with the interest shown by the participants, and also excited to have a nice crowd show up to watch the event,â€ť she said.Â
