David Eric Wald

Funeral services for David Eric Wald, formerly of Poteau, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 24, 2012, at First Christian Church in Lamont with burial in Pond Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Wilson Funeral Home, Pond Creek.
David was born to James and Kay Woodruff Walden in Enid on Jan. 12, 1972. David graduated from Poteau High School in 1990. In October 1990 he entered the Marines in Fort Smith, Ark. In October 2000 David was honorably discharged at Camp Pendleton in San Diego, Calif. He worked for H.M.T. as a welder in Tonkawa and the company later moved to Blackwell. He loved going with his buddies to Little Sahara State Park in Waynoka. David also farmed in the Lamont area.
He is survived by his father, James Wald, Lamont; mother, Kay Woodruff, Fort Smith; brother, Richard Wald, Enid; sister, Treisa Dugas and husband, Joseph, Fort Smith; nephew, Wesley; and niece, Crystal Dugas; aunt, Linda Wald, Lamont; Pat White, Dannebrog, Neb; numerous friends and relatives.
Memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association.
