Dennis Albert Wells

Dennis Albert Wells, 64, of Wister died Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2013, at the Talihina Veteran’s Center. Dennis was born Dec. 2, 1949, in Elyria, Ohio, to Wade D. and Thelma (Davis) Wells. 
Dennis, Lance Corporal, U.S. Marine Corps, was a Vietnam veteran and proud of his service to his country. He was a mechanic in California before relocating to Oklahoma where he, alongside his father, successfully ranched for many years. Dennis was a lover of libraries, knowledge and learning and a caring and compassionate man. He was devoted to God and is now once again cradled in his arms.
Dennis leaves no family but is survived by his beloved friend, Leslie Langley. 
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 5, at the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith, Ark., with the Rev. Larry Strouse officiating.  
Evans and Miller Funeral Home, Poteau, is handling arrangements.
