Dica Blair

Dica Blair, 86, died Aug. 27, 2013, in Vian. She was born May 13, 1927, in Ola, Ark., to Perry Poe and Mona (Barrick) Poe. She was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with family and friends and a member of the Trinity Baptist Church of Poteau.
She was preceded in death by her parents and stepfather Cephus Whitecotton; her husband, Luther Blair;  three daughters, Mona Blair, Connie Stewart and Demerris Hamblin; three brothers, Joe Whitecotton, Beacher Whitecotton, Jay Cee Whitecotton; and one sister, Inell Pearson.
Dica is survived by two sons, Tommy D. Blair and wife Sheri of Benton, Ark., and David J. Blair of Heavener; two daughters, Joan Woody of Little Rock, Ark., Debra Jane Fleig and husband William of Heavener; 23 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; a brother, Dale Whitecotton of Bokoshe; four sisters, Violet Cessna of Spiro, Caroletta Cooper of Wilburton, Patricia Shimp of Oklahoma City and Judy Medina; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, friends and loved ones.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 29, at Grace Manor Memorial Chapel, Poteau, with Pastor Phil Petre officiating.
Viewing will be from noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Services are under the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home of Poteau.
