Doyle W. Davis

Doyle W. Davis, 54 of Tulsa died Wednesday, May 29, 2013. He was born Feb. 23, 1959, in Poteau, son of Doyle Fay and Bessie Louise (Hathcoat) Davis.
He was a 1977 graduate of Poteau High School. Doyle received his bachelor degree in criminal science from Northeastern State University, then completed the Police Academy. He served 28 years with the Tulsa Police Department including 18 with the motorcycle division. After retirement he worked for Tulsa Airport Security. He was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Poteau.
Doyle is survived by his wife, Aracely; two daughters, Sharolyn and Aracely; mother and stepfather, Louise and Richard “Dick” Searles; and sisters, Elizabeth “Libby Ann” Schmidz and Ann Davis.
Viewing will be from 1-3 p.m. Sunday at Freeman Harris Funeral Home in Tulsa. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 4, at Evans and Miller Funeral Home in Poteau followed by a graveside service with full honors by the Tulsa Police Department Honor Guard at Oakland Cemetery.
The family will visit with relatives and friends at Evans and Miller from 6-8 p.m. Monday.
